NEW YORK, NY – December 31, 2009 – Midas Perpetual Portfolio, Inc. (Ticker Symbol:  MPERX) paid a distribution of $0.0116 per share on December 30, 2009.

The distribution represents short term capital gains, which are treated as ordinary income.  All taxable shareholders will receive written notification regarding the components and tax treatment for 2009 distributions in 2010 on Form 1099-DIV.
